Most employers are signing TPA and PBM contracts that have not been evaluated comprehensively or with the expertise required to effectively identify and negotiate sources of vendor profits.

TPA and PBM earnings are not invoiced but are contractually driven. These revenue sources are embedded in contracts that most employers and advisors do not fully comprehend. Instead, employers rely on advisors that focus primarily on the cost being invoiced. This results in contracts that are often-times uncompetitive.

As Dr. Scott Conard mentioned at the end of his keynote presentation at MBGH's annual conference, MBGH members and peer roundtable participants will have an opportunity to receive a TPA, PBM audit and clinical review as part of a 30 Day Engagement with Holmes Murphy.   The 30-Day Engagement focuses on identifying key opportunities to restructure fixed cost arrangements to competitive advantages as well as performing a high-level clinical diagnosis of your plan.  Employers will get a summary of findings and recommendations for cost improvement.
