Making Data Driven Decisions in Specialty Pharmacy Workshop
03/29/2017, Noon to 3:00 PM
Community Foundation of Greater Memphis, 1900 Union Avenue, Memphis, TN 38104 map
NOTE: Lunch will be served
Specialty pharmacy medications and costs continue to rise and account for an ever increasing percentage of employer's health benefit spend. There is no question that the best way to manage these costs is to use your own claims data to identify cost drivers and opportunities for savings.
MBGH's "Making Data Driven Decisions in Specialty Pharmacy Workshop" will deepen your understanding of the importance of evaluating your own data; the underlying reasons for the cost increases in specialty pharmacy; leverage points employers can use to control cost while still providing needed medications to employees; and best practices employers have deployed to addrees these issues.
Kyle Spackman, Regional Director for Artemis, will provide the context for using your own data to identify problems in your benefits programs, find solutions, track solutions, and share your results. Kyle will use pharmacy management as an example of how a robust data evaluation tool can provide you with the data you need to make informed decisions.
Brenda Motheral, CEO and Co-Founder of Archimedes, will then lead a session that digs deeper into specialty pharmacy. Those of you that participated in our Specialty Pharmacy Workshop series in summer 2015 will remember Brenda is a true expert in all aspects of specialty pharmacy and what employers can do to better manage both the cost and quality of specialty medications.
This session has a limited capacity and is only open to MBGH employer/purchaser members and members of MBGH's Clinical Advisory Committee. 2017 Annual Conference Sponsors are welcome to sign up on the waiting list and will be notified if space becomes available.
Register by March 22 with Janis Slivinski at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you to Artemis for providing our lunch.
